I was determined but the question still remained. After Liz died on Christmas Day 2002. I wanted to Build My Own Website as a tribute to her.

I did not go quite so far as to get swindled out of thousands of pounds on these Get Rich Quick schemes, as so many other poor folk have done, but I certainly went far enough and in doing so went way too far.

I bought ready made websites and spent pounds upon pounds on programmes which claimed to be able to sell my products world wide by blasting my web presence all over the internet.

I didn't realise at the time, but one such scheme was worded in such a way that I was hoodwinked into believing I had bought a proven website and then hoodwinked again into purchasing this particular Herbert's Master Blaster to sell his own products around the world.

Well let's be honest about it and face up to the truth, it wasn't him that turned out to be the Herbert now was it? With his Wonderful Master Blaster!

I have to admit that nowadays when I'm in one of my light hearted moments and get the occasional flashback, I can't help but have a good hearty chuckle, even though it's at my own expense.

I purchased courses that taught Dreamweaver CS3, which at that particular time I think was the latest version and Photoshop.

They were in fact very reasonably priced and excellent courses. I did learn quite a lot from them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. However, I am not affiliated to this company, but who knows, maybe in the future.

I searched around and made enquiries as to how you could Build Your Own Website and how much it would cost to have a professional webmaster build one for me, but soon dropped that idea after obtaining a few quotes.

Besides, once it was built I would have no control over it at all, the costly maintenance, additions and changes necessary to keep it running, would be way beyond my means.

A few of my friends in London belonging to sporting clubs, have shown me their clubs websites. Expensive, beautiful looking sites they are too, but unable to attract any traffic. This is in some cases, despite the hiring of expensive SEO services.
